Saturday March 14th, Tai Chi Course

'Light & Dark' Tai Chi Course

1:00 p.m. to 2:50 p.m. - Sun style 13 move short form
and
3:10 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. - Agar-Hutton 'Four Winds' form parts 1 to 3.

The first part of the seminar will be the short Sun form as taught to Robert and Lee Agar-Hutton by Trevor Reynaert of Crystal T'ai Chi who trained under Faye & Tary Yip & Prof. Li Deyin in Sun style Tai Chi.
The Sun 13 short form is quick and elegant but may be challenging to people who have not learned Sun style before as there are significant differences from the Yang based forms that are the mainstay of the Agar-Hutton Tai Chi Academy. The form is not difficult to perform and is interesting and a great introduction to Sun style.

There will then be a twenty minute break - bring a drink and something to munch on if you like.

The second part of the seminar will be an introduction to Robert's 'Four Winds' form - this form is a long and complex form which combines aspects of several internal arts (Tai Chi, Bagua, Xing-Yi, Liu He Ba Fa, and Wing Chun). The form comprises 8 parts and the first three parts will be taught. The form can be practiced for health and exercise but is also a 'fighting' form with many martial aspects that are not readily visible in standard Yang style forms.

Venue - Chelveston Village Hall. Caldecott Rd, Wellingborough, NN9 6AT.

This is an open course available to students of the Academy and to all other Tai Chi enthusiasts.
